Dr. Michael Ntuk is a renowned Dental Surgeon practising in the United States of America and owning three (3) dental hospitals within the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area.
He utilized his passion for risk management and background in Public Health and Public Administration to focus on the development and dissemination of liability issues in the Dental Profession. He is versatile and well known to be an authority in disability income insurance. In 1995, he joined the Eastern Dentist insurance company (EDIC), Albany, New York, and rose to the position of Director of Risk Management and communication.
Dr. Micheal Ntuk, a public spirited person, is the chairman of the Boys and Girls Foundation; a private sector-led initiative to ensure social integration of Ophans in the state of Maryland, USA.
Dr. Ntuk earned his Dental Degree (DDS) in 1982 from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) from the State University of New York (SUNY), Albany, New York. He is presently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in the USA.

Mr. Adeduro is a graduate of University of Lagos and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife where he obtained B.Sc (Insurance) and MBA (Marketing) respectively. He effectively started his career in Insurance with African General Insurance Brokers Limited Lagos, as a Marketing Executive in the Kaduna Branch of the Organisation. In 1996 he moved over to Continental Reinsurance Company Limited, Lagos (now Continental Re Plc) as Executive in Operations and Technical Division of the Company. He rose to Assistant Manager in the Organisation with a rich experience in Treaty Underwriting and Claims Management, Reinsurance Accounting, Client Services and Marketing.
In the course of pursuit of excellence, Mr. Adeduro crossed to the Banking Industry in 2001 to pioneer Insurance Desk at Liberty Bank Plc and was latter promoted to Deputy Head of Administration and General Internal Services.
In 2003, Mr. Adeduro was called upon to re-engineer the Claims, Reinsurance and Statistics Department of Standard Alliance Insurance Company Limited (now Standard Alliance Plc) for efficient client services and recoveries. As a result of meeting the yearning of Management in this task he was promoted to the position of Group Head of Technical and Risk Management in 2004 with responsibility for strategic functions of risk underwriting and acceptance, risk survey and inspection, reinsurance, claims, statistics and branches coordination.
In 2006 Mr. Adeduro was transferred to anchor Energy & Telecomms sector of Standard Alliance Insurance marketing as the Group Head, and was latter promoted to AGM Operations with additional oversight functions in Risk Management, Human Capital, Administration & Corporate Services and Information Technology Departments. His leadership prowess saw the growth of Energy and Telecom Group Income by over 300% between 2006 and 2007.
Mr. Adeduro is an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN),
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA) and Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM). He is happily married with children. |

Mr.Udo is Chairman/CEO of Neliz Nigeria Limited. A seasoned and astute businessman with interest in exploration, geophysics and solid minerals. He is a graduate of Geology at the University of Calabar and, has his post graduate degree in Business Administration of the University of Uyo.
Mr. Udo in collaboration with the Unversity of Calabar Consult worked to explore for salt at Ikom and in Odukpani Mbarakom (Cross River State). He also led the team that did the exploration to determine the geology of the area for water.
Mr. Udo has managed many bilateral projects in exploration and geophysical studies in Nigeria among which are:
- Exploration for Talc at Dognodaji, Kwara State
- Exploration for Gold at Atakumusa, Oyo State
- Exploration for quantification for calcium carbonate deposit in Ikono, Akwa Ibom State
- Geophysical exploration for good aquifers for water boreholes.
He served as Exploration Geologist with Nigerian Mining Corporation, Jos. He also served as the Technical Director of Jotek Services, Managing Director of Crosska Company Limited. He is a member of Nigerian Association of Hydro-Geologists.
Before joining the Board of Anchor, Mr. Ntuk Udo has served as Exploration Geologist with the Nigerian Mining Corporation, Jos; Technical Director, Jotek Services; Managing Director, Crosska Company Limited; and currently serving as the Chairman/CEO of Neliz Nigeria Limited.

Mrs. Ntepke Inoyo is an Accountant by training having obtained a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, Plateau State in 1988 and a Post-graduate Degree in Business Administration, (MBA) from the University of New Orleans, USA in the year 2000.
Mrs. Inoyo has held several opportunities before joining the Board of Anchor Insurance Company Limited as a Director. She was a Manager in Ibel Nigeria Limited from 1989 to 1997 from where she resigned to establish Toro Pharmaceutical Nigeria Limited with turnover in excess of N100 Million.

Dr. Ime Udom is a respected Orthopedic Physical Therapist and Medical Researcher currently in private medical practice in orthopedic physical therapy, sport medicine and occupational health with extensive years of health management experience in Louisiana, USA.
Dr. Udom’s academic and professional credentials include, Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria. Post graduate Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Chatham University, Pittsburgh, USA. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in naturopathy & natural health. Diplomate of the American Academy of Wound Management. Fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialist.
As a member of World Trade Center, New Orleans and other respected international business communities; he brings along wealth of experience in international business, projects development and management. Dr. Udom currently serves in other private companies in USA and West Africa that explore new technologies in agro-biotechnology, marine and energy.

Mr. Anwanane studied Law at the University of Calabar, Calabar, and the
Nigeria Law School, Lagos. He was called to the Bar in 1988. Since then, he has been, for the most, in private legal practice. In 1989, after having served a short stint as a Legal Officer in a Local Government Council, he was invited to join the now Broad Street, Lagos- based Law Firm of Paul Usoro & Co. Where he rose to become a Partner. Until his appointment to public office in 1999, he was also the Head of that firm’s General Commercial Practice Section.
Mr. Anwanane brings to the Board of Anchor Insurance Company Limited qualitative and extensive experience in the practice of the Law relating to Banking & Finance, Litigation & Arbitration, Contracts & Commercial Practices, Oil & Gas. He sits as a Director on the Board of companies breaking new grounds as the national pioneers in independent electricity generation and petroleum refinery respectively.
He has also served on the Board of quite a few private companies. Mr. Anwanane is for the time being on leave of absence away from his professional practice and currently serves as Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, with particular responsibility for legal matters and business projects.

Hon. Effiom holds a Higher National Diploma (Accountancy) from The Polytechnic, Calabar. He also obtained an MBA degree from the University of Uyo in 1998.
Hon. Effiom was an Accountant II in the defunct Palm Produce Board, Calabar in 1986. During his NYSC programme in 1985/86, he served Nigeria Union of Journalists, Enugu as Accountant/Administrator, and as honoured with an award of Excellence in Service. He later took up an appointment with Messrs. Okechukwu & Co (Chartered Accountants) in 1987. In 1989, he joined the Civil Service of Akwa Ibom State where he served and retired as Principal Accounts Officer. In 1998, he served Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, as Part-time Lecturer. He was also a Consultant to Messrs Inyang Nyong & Co (Chartered Accounts), and a Partner with Messrs Kady Rev. Consulting Group, all in Uyo.
Before his appointment into the Board of Directors of Anchor Insurance Company Limited as Representative of Akwa Ibom State Government , Hon. Effiom served as Vice Chairman/Supervisor for Health and later Chairman, Caretake Committee, Ikono Local Government. He also served as Personal Assistant to the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Akwa Ibom State in the year 2000 - 2002.
He has attended several courses, seminars, and conferences associated with financial and business management. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy.

Mrs. Comfort O. Essien is the Executive Director in charge of the Technical Operations of the Company.
She is a 1981 Mathematics/ Statistics graduate of the University of Calabar. She also holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of Uyo. She is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
Since joining the Company in January 1990, she has served in every area of technical Operations of the company. She has competence in all area of both life and General Business underwriting including reinsurance and claims management having headed each of these in the course of her employment in the company.
Between 2004 and 2008 she piloted the affairs of the company and successfully led the company through two recapitalisation exercises in 2004 and 2007. Until her elevation to the post of Deputy Managing Director, Mrs Essien was the General Manager / Chief Executive Officer of the company. |
